GM Jacob Aagaard's book tour of India and Asia
Who is Jacob Aagaard?
Jacob Aagard is a Scottish/Danish grandmaster, Fide Senior Trainer and an award winning author. He has been the 2007 British and the 2012 Scottish Champion. He is the co-founder of Quality Chess Publishers. He is the only chess author in the world to have won all four major book of the year awards. As a chess trainer his star students include GM Sabino Brunello, GM Surya Shekhar Ganguly, GM Samuel Shankland and to some extent GM Boris Gelfand. Why is he coming to India and Asia?
Jacob Aagaard is the author of the famous Grandmaster Preparation series. The sixth and final book of the series "Thinking Inside the box" is going to be published. Aagaard's visit to India will co-incide with this book's release. Also Jacob would like to meet many of his friends and fans in India and interact with as many chess lovers as possible. He would like to be available to all the chess players who have some questions. Maximum benefit of the people in terms of spreading chess knowledge is his main intention.

At every place in India Jacob will be spending two days. Mornings of those two days will be used for specialized training to strong players. These trainings will last for six hours (three each day). This is intended to be very intense and players attending it can expect to learn quite a few trade secrets from a great trainer like Aagaard.Format:
On the first day evening at each place there will be a Open lecture where all the chess players, coaches, parents are welcome to attend! Aagaard would cover some important topics and there will also be the possibility for public interaction. That would be 26th March in Mumbai, 28th in Ahmedabad, 29th and 30th in Delhi (Delhi is the only place where there are two open lectures) 2nd in Kolkata, and 4th in Chennai. A detailed breakdown of how things will pan out at each place is given below.
25th-27th March - Mumbai
Jacob Aagaard reaches Mumbai on the 25th of March at 11.00 a.m. After taking some rest and adjusting to the new time zone, he will have a ChessBase India show with IM Sagar Shah at 8.00 p.m. on 25th of March.
On 26th and 27th mornings he will have a training session with some of the most talented kids in Mumbai. The sessions will last for six hours (three hours each day) and Praful Zaveri who has organized the event has made some excellent innovations like Personalized photograph with Aagaard, certificates etc. You can read the details below:
